Christopher Patterson, Male Co-Captain (3rd Year Member)
Christopher started dancing on the Elk Ridge Middle School ballroom team in 8th grade. He had never tried that style of dancing before, but knew he loved to dance in general, so he gave it a shot. After doing it for the year and meeting so many awesome people, he grew to love it. He continued dancing at Quickstep during the summers, and repeated a second year of dance at Elk Ridge. He was originally not going to try out for BBT his first year, but decided the day off to attend auditions. After a stressful day, Chris came to find out that he had made the team. Since then, he has done it every year. Aside from ballroom, Chris fills his schedule with wrestling, Madrigals, plays, and whatever he can get his hands on. He is so excited to see where life takes him in the upcoming years and hopes to keep dancing through them.

Jessica Applegate, Female Co-Captain (3rd Year Member)
Jessica had no idea what she was getting into when she spontaneously decided to try out for the Ballroom Team at Bingham. However, she has had no regrets these past three years. The friendships and memories that have been created the past three years have been the biggest blessing in her life. There’s nothing she loves more than going out on the dance floor and putting her all into every movement. Jessica loves to laugh, have fun, and make the most of every moment, and there’s no one she’d rather do it with than BBT! Jessica would like to thank her coaches, Gina Terrell and Dani Ward, and for all her teammates for making ballroom team a reality.

Carter Bird, Officer of Publicity and Costumes (2nd Year Member)
Carter wasn’t interested in dance until 8th grade when he saw his school's ballroom team perform. He fell in love with ballroom and auditioned for the team the next year. He made the middle school team, but then took a break from dancing his sophomore year. He saw the high school team perform and knew that he had to audition. He joined the team his junior year, and again his senior year. Carter enjoys ballroom, and is excited to show his skills at the concert. As an officer on the team, he spends a lot of time working on the dances and doing a LOT of paperwork. Carter enjoys the running life as well, and participated in cross country and long distance track. He enjoys hanging out with friends, and trying new things. He would like to thank everyone who reminds him to try new things, and his friends, who keep pushing him to new heights. Michael Milakovic, Officer of Technique and Competition (3rd Year Member)
Michael started dancing in 7th grade in Westlake High School’s freshman ballroom team. Since then he moved to South Jordan and joined the Bingham Ballroom Team during his sophomore year. Being on the ballroom team has changed Michael’s life for the better. The friendships made and experiences had are too many to list, but it has been a fantastic journey. Michael joined the Quickstep dance studio midway through his freshman year. At the studio he was able to expand on his technical knowledge, and compete around the western US. His experience at Quickstep helped him while on the Bingham team, particularly in the role of Technique and Competition officer. Michael’s plans for the next few years involve serving a mission and attending either UVU or BYU, both schools having a good ballroom program. Some of his favorite things are reading, ice cream, shenanigans with ballroom peers, and ballroom dancing. Back in junior year he got the nickname “fancypants” due to wearing some ‘fancy’ dance pants. Michael has been largely inspired by his freshman coach Andrew Hadlock, BBT coach Gina Terrell, and his fellows on the team. Go Bingham!

Emma Skolmoski, Officer of Technique and Competition (3rd Year Member)
Hello! This is Emma's third year being on the Bingham ballroom team and she's a senior. She is the technique and competition officer this year and she has enjoyed every minute of it! She has had a great experience being on the Bingham Ballroom team! She loves how well you get to know everybody and close you become! She has also enjoyed watching all of her teammates grow as dancers and a family. She loves everyone on team and is so glad that she has had the opportunity to help coach people for competitions and work with all of the amazing people on team! She started ballroom in 8th grade. Some of her friends were doing the workshop and wanted her to join and she loved it! The next year she auditioned for team and has been on a school team ever since! She has learned a lot of different styles and just enjoys dancing. She has enjoyed competing open this year with Michael and has grown in so many ways through this. She did a UVU and BYU summer ballroom training. She has been dancing at a studio called Quickstep for about a little over a year and she has improved in leaps and bounds. Some of her random hobbies, besides dancing, are gymnastics (she used to coach), and jet skiing. She loves vacationing up to Bear Lake and she goes every year with her Mom’s side of the family. One specific person in her life that has inspired her is her parents. They have supported her so much and they are just as excited as her with everything she learns and loves! Gina has also been a major influence in her dancing career, as well as her studio coach Annie. She is so grateful for this opportunity and wouldn’t want to trade it! Emma will be attending BYU in the fall to pursue a bachelors in Dance Teaching. She is so excited for the future but sad to leave all of her amazing friends that she has made on team this year!

Amanda Hornberger (1st Year Member)
Amanda is so excited to have had the opportunity to be on Bingham’s ballroom team her senior year! Amanda started ballroom in 8th grade on Megan Rees’s team at Elk Ridge Middle school. She took a little break but is happy to be back on a team. Not only has she had the opportunity to be on the ballroom team, but also madrigals. Connor has been on the Bingham Ballroom Team for 3 years. It has been a wonderful experience. He has been able to use the skills he has learned to pusure other opportunities. He will always cherish the relationships that he's made as a Miner and never lose the talents he has deveolped.

Colton Nunnelley (3rd Year Member)
This is Coltons 3rd year on ballroom team and 5th year dancing. He is a senior and loves his cars and being outdoors. He enjoys hiking, fishing and camping in the summertime and snowboarding and sledding in the winter. Colton's favorite dances are lindy hop and samba because he likes the energy that goes with it.

Adam Smith is a pretty chill dude. He has done ballroom with both Elkridge Middle School and for two years here at good ‘ol BHS. His favorite part of ballroom is learning to social dance and loves hanging out with all his broskis on the team. Darcie Bean (1st Year Member)
Darcie has loved being on ballroom team for her first year! She started dancing ballroom during her 8th grade year with Elk Ridge's Megan Rees, and has loved it ever since! When she was younger, she danced ballet, jazz, and hip hop at Rocky Mountain Dance. Darcie's proudest achievement so far with this ballroom team is winning 4th place in bronze syllabus cha cha with her partner, Connor, at Gem State Classic in March. When she isn't dancing, she's volunteering with NHS, playing the piano, and lifeguarding. Darcie loves all of the friendships she's made this past year and is excited for more in the future. She'd like to thank all of her dance coaches, friends, and family for supporting her1

sophomore year she was a member of the 5-6-7-8 Ballroom Club and is now thrilled to be apart of the
Ballroom Team. She loves dancing the Waltz, Swing, Rumba, and especially the Cha Cha. She says the
best part of ballroom dance is the lifts. In addition to dancing, Kelcie loves playing basketball, rock
climbing, singing and hanging out with friends…especially at Menchies! Kelcie would like to thank her
family for their constant love and encouragement. She truly appreciates the friendship and support she
receives from her teammates and is so grateful to Gina Terrell and Danielle Skaggs for helping her to do
what she loves!!!

Makayla is a 2nd year member of Bingham ballroom team. She has absolutely loved being on team the last two years, and has learned so much. Before Bingham, Makayla started ballroom dancing on Elk Ridge Middle School’s team, and is so grateful for the foundation that provided her. She also enjoys performing in plays and musicals, she has even worked as a scare actor at Nightmare on Thirteenth! Makayla hopes to become a teacher of the arts, and help kids find themselves as her teachers have helped her.

He has also been a dancer and actor in a movie and professional musical. Carson joined the Bingham Ballroom Team so he could get involved in school. He has had an awesome experience meeting new people, getting to perform in front of people at Bingham this year. It would be nice to say ballroom is his passion, since dancing is in his blood, but do not let that fool you. It is the pretty girls that are his passion, ballroom is his cover up. Alas, now that the secret is out, no more cover up for him. He has been spinning and lifting grils since the unforgettable years of middle school. He looks forward to continuing his passion, be that what it may, into and through his Senior year. In all reality, Trenton is the lego builder of his family and a fierce friend and big brother to his 4 younger siblings. He would like to leave you with one thought and piece of advice. Life is not about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself. Absolutely, do not leave writing your bio up to your Mom.

Joel Peterson (1st Year Member)
Joel has greatly appreciated his time on the ballroom team. He has always wanted to try new things and has found a recent passion for dancing. Joel likes to eat candy and drink every kind of beverage other than water. (Water is gross as heck). He would like to thank his mom and dad for being so supportive, and specifically Gina Terrell for helping him learn and grow.

Michael Rawlings (2nd Year Member)
Michael Rawlings loves ballroom. This is his second year on the Bingham Team, and has been dancing for 4 years. He began his dance career humbly auditioning for Megan Rees’ Elk Ridge Ballroom Team, and has been hooked to dancing ever since. When Michael was little, he danced for fun and was too scared to ever pursue a performing career because he had stage fright. Thanks to ballroom, Michael has been able to come out of his shell, and now he loves performing. Michael recently has pursued not only ballroom, but also musical theatre, and hopes to achieve greatness through his abilities. He hopes to inspire all those who are struggling with the problems he grew up with, and encourages everyone to pursue their dreams no matter what.

He hopes to inspire all those who are struggling with the problems he grew up with, and encourages everyone to pursue their dreams no matter what.
Mason Rose (2nd Year Member)
Mason had been doing ballroom for 2 years before becoming a member of the Bingham Ballroom Team. His favorite dance is American Cha-Cha! Mason has 5 siblings not including himself and amazing encouraging parents! He loves to party with his family or friends and just try to always have a good time. He is also an athlete on the Bingham track team and enjoys running and competing a lot! Inspiration comes to him through all of his friends he has ever made through ballroom, sports movies with deep messages, and great music you can dance to. He has had nothing but tons of fun this year and has learned so much!

Noelle Wilkins (1st Year Member)
Noelle Wilkins has been dancing since eighth grade and has loved every minute! She currently dances at Quickstep Dance Studio in Sandy, as well as dancing with the Bingham Ballroom Team. Dance is her absolute favorite pastime and happy place. Noelle is also involved in Bingham choir and theater and has been in both Shrek the Musical and Singing in the Rain. Her favorite dance is the Samba. When she is not dancing, Noelle likes to read, sing, eat chocolate, watch good movies, and spend time with friends and family. She would like to thank her family, Annie Topham, Alex, Neils Topham, Gina Terrell, and all of those who have supported her as she dances. Thank you for supporting her as she dances through life.

Sara Applegate (1st Year Member)
Sara has loved being on the ballroom team this year at Bingham. She has learned so much and has made some great friendships with the members in the team. Before being on Bingham’s team, Sara was on the team at Elk Ridge Middle School. That was where she first began learning ballroom. Before doing ballroom, Sara danced ballet and jazz at CVAC for many years.
When Sara is not dancing you can find her outside, doing homework, sleeping, playing the piano, baking, or jamming with her friends.
Sara would like to thank her cousin Brielle for being her inspiration for starting dance; Andrea Edwards, her first dance instructor; Megan Rees, who first taught her ballroom; Gina Terrell and Dani Skaggs for being the best coaches ever; her parents and family and countless others for constantly supporting her and pushing her to be the best she can be; and Alexa, for always listening to her, helping her survive this year, and for her never ending friendship.

Abby Bassaragh (1st Year Member)
Abby Bassaragh loves dancing with her entire heart. Ever since she was little she was obsessed with Dancing with the Stars and Angelina Ballerina! She first started dancing in 4th grade in the elementary ballroom program. She continued training on the AISU Ballroom Team. She also started dancing in other styles in 7th on her middle school Dance Company. Abby has loved being on both Dance Company and the Ballroom Team this year. She would like to thank all of her wonderful teammates for making the weird girl from the charter school feel so welcomed and loved. She would also like to thank her beautiful coaches who have helped her grow and improve. This year was an absolute blessing and she can’t wait for the years to come.

Emily Elmer (1st Year Member)
Emily has spent the past three years enjoying Ballroom Dance. She loves being a part of QuickStep Dance Studio’s amazing team, and is ecstatic about joining the Bingham Ballroom Team! Some of her favorite dances include: Waltz, Quickstep, Samba, Tango, Lindy Hop and Charleston and especially loves Latin dancing. When not dancing, Emily is often found reading, or expressing her creativity in art, singing and acting with her best friends. Emily would like to express her gratitude to her loving, supportive parents and her dance coach Amy Topham. She’s excited to work with Gina and Dani this year.

Thomas Evans (1st Year Member)
Thomas started ballroom dance in 8th grade at Elk Ridge Middle. He has also been in a couple musicals, including being the lead role in “Crazy for You.” He has learned Ballroom over the past two years, tap from a musical, and the latest new Fortnite dances. His favorite hobby/passion is playing his drum set and writing music with his new band. He also loves to mountain bike and race all over Utah. He is very grateful for Megan Rees, for sparking his interest in dance; Jessica Peck, for teaching him to tap dance; and to Mr. Goodrich for teaching him to do a half-barrel roll. He would also like to thank his family for loving and supporting him throughout all his adventures.

Mackenzie Jensen (1st Year Member)
Mackenzie Jensen started ballroom 1 year ago at Elk Ridge Middle School. She has always been interested in ballroom and has always loved being on a team. Mackenzie has been taught many different dancing styles by Megan Rees and her workshops at Elk Ridge Middle along with being on her ballroom team such as swing, paso doble, rumba, waltz, and cha-cha. She is currently participating in a Mexican folkloric dance group. She has been in this dance group for 3 years. She has always loved dancing, painting, sewing, cooking and singing. She has taught herself to paint and sketch. She has also loved fashion design and wants to do it as her future job. Mackenzie is normally called Kenzie, Kenz, and Sniper by her family. She wants to thank her parents Robert and Kathi, and her dance teachers Areli Garcia and Megan Rees for inspiring her to keep dancing.

Tyrese Sheriff (1st Year Member)
Ty loves being on Bingham Ballroom Team and has enjoyed all of it so far this year. Ty started ballroom dancing in 7th grade with Megan Rees in her ballroom workshops at Elk Ridge Middle School. He auditioned for team at Elk Ridge and made it! He then continued to ballroom dance at Elk Ridge for all three years! He now dances at a studio called Quickstep with Annie Topham and Alex Taylor in Sandy! He loves ballroom dancing and hope to continue to do it for the rest of high school. He would like to thank Megan Rees, Gina Terrell, the BBT officers(Chris Patterson, Jessica Applegate, Emma Skolmoski, Michael Milakovic, Emma Miller, and Carter Bird), Annie Topham, and Alex Taylor for all their help and support.
